Here is another update folks.
Martin has been busying himself away with the car, so things are moving forwards. Last time I was there I brought home with me the fuel rail feed pipe with a view of researching an easy way to measure the fuel pressure, most people do this using a spare port on an aftermarket regulator however for now I am keeping the stock item so needed a different solution.
Various options have been proposed of tapping a hole in the top of the banjo bolt on the fuel filter or fitting a double banjo bolt to the fuel filter, I found the parts in the correct threads very difficult to come by.
In the end I decided to pop down to Think Automotive in Isleworth and again they have come up trumps. They have basically modified my feed pipe to fit a sensor takeoff in it. I think it looks really smart:
This shows the fitting and the swaged joint, hopefully being swaged the joint should be strong and not be prone to leaks.

The protective cover was then moved back into position:

I think this is a really smart solution and once it has a little engine dirt on it will look almost OEM. The takeoff also has the handy 1/8NPT thread that I have decided on as a standard for all the additional sensors on the car.
I've also picked up two pressure sensors one for fuel and one for oil - you can see the sensor below:

The engine has also been moving forwards, the new Competition Clutch has been installed:

And the new clutch release fork, support and bearing installed:

Lastly for now the engine and gearbox have now been mated together!
