Louis, is the turbo you're using twin-entry? If not grind out that central bridge between the two ports to make it single entry.

Ah right. Have you thought about fitting a quick spool valve then to get low end response:

did look at this but it would work with the ct turbo as youi wiil be blocking flow to the turbo for 2 of the exhuast runners

just wondering what are the numbers on the ends of the caps?

all so finished port matching and polishing the exhaust manifold,

all that needs doing now if to have to ceramic coated to help keep the head down in the engine bay and it will help spool the turbo up a bit quicker

Shirley with a twin entry manifold all that's going to do is
1) Completely cut off 2 cylinders
2) Severely restrict all 4 cylinders

this will only work if you have a sigle entry turbo it will help spool quicker as the all the air is forced in to 1 place and this makes the air go quicker. witch make the turbo spool faster

But even if you've got a single entry turbo on a twin entry manifold I can't see it working. It will choke two cylinders

The only benefit I see is a twin entry turbo on a single entry manifold

I’m with you on this one just cant see how it will work on both single or twin entry, like you say either way it is shutting off the gas flow from 2 cylinders unless there is a bypass from all 4 cylinders to 1 side of the entry to speed up gas velocity then cant see the point. Dorris

Yes it requires a twin-entry turbo, and you can open up the twin entry manifold by removing the bridge and blending the bowl which will effectively turn it into a single entry item by allowing all 4 runners to merge prior to the valve. It's not ideal, but if you're still using the stock manifold you're running far from ideal anyway!
