You usually have to take a small amount of the serated bit of the studs also as they can be slightly to big, varies from source to source..

right done a bit on the car tihs morring and here are the pics

i have rolled the rear arches
here you can see the rear arch lip
Image
its about 1/2" sticking out
Image
Image
and here is the arch after it rolled it
Image
as you can see no lip :D

so then i went on the fit the rear wheel spacers and longer studs

what i did is drill a nice 20-22mmm hole in the back plate.
Image
this is the only place you can make a hole.
and as you can see the long stud fits easy
Image
Image
Image
then afte doing this 4more time you end up with this
Image

job done :)

just need to take some pics with the wheels back on but it looks much better:D

Good solution to fitting the longer wheel studs. I guess you can use s rubber grommet/hole filler plug to blank off the hole once you've finished.

How far are you planning on stripping out the interior?

yes will be fitting a nice rubber gromit in :) going to strip it back to the droves doors as i need the keep the door card for now for the windows and locking, but all the rear sine panles will be coming out and as much of the sound deadening as i can, im tryning to see if i can get a carbonfiber rear hatch made to :) and will be getting some carbon door mirrors.

The handling of your car would definitely benefit an RT-Performance rear 3-point strut brace

been chating to CP pistons in the USA and it looks lilk i there are 2 sets of rings for my pistions, but the only way to find out witch is to strip the engine and measure up the rings :( thsi it will be a 5week order as thay are a custom made ring. so as the engine will be in bits ill be clocking the turbo and making the intercooler pipe roughts a shorter and neater, then after all that back for a remap and play with the cams this time to see what we can get :) and at the same time ill be intstaling an roll cage witch will help stiffen things up :D

Nice work. Did you take pics of your pistons before fitting? IIRC Peter Piper had this issue and CP supplied old design rings with new design pistons! May be worth a PM to him to see if he can shed any light on it.

How much are a set of rings? May be worth buying both sets to save a 5 week wait?

Hey great car i'm awe struck. 1 question why have you not gone with free flow headers? I see your still using stock ones if I could figure out the add picture things on this I have just added some XSpower headers to my st185 and an aussie 3" down pipe of my factory ct26 twin entry turbo ive only had my gt4 a month but looking at rebuilding as much as i can by my self.

Hi Dorris it was my fault i had the take the head off and do a rohoen of the block but for got to fit new rings and the old rings wont bed back in to so this is why i need new rings

Hello nvstoy if you meen the exhaust manifold then the stock manifold is good for 450bhp :D and the xspower are known for beeing very cheep and nasty and not fit or flow very well plus thay allway crack if you look at that TTE wrc used thay still have the stock manifold as it will run very good power and wont break like xspower will, 1 of my mate has a st185 andf just made 440bhpat 1.7bar and still has the stock exhaust manifold, thay told him that it was the st185 throttle body that was now holding him back not the exhaust
