I'm sure we've all got a few cars in our history that we now wish were still about

Here's my guilty secret - Fiesta Supersport

My first car was one of these. I still wish I had it, full of character. Rubber band power rules.

Aaaaahhhhhggghhhh, pepperpots on a supersport! Should be 4 spokes.

I will scan a pic of my long lost love, maybe even the car as well.

In order of ownership:

1. BMC Mini Cooper - great little buzz box :)
2. Ford Escort Mexico Mk1 - fantastic car, wish I still had it today :!:
3. Ford Escort RS2000 Mk1 - harsh and heavy Pinto engine unbalanced the car :|
4. Lotus Europa Special Twin Cam - my first supercar sadly written off by my dad
5. Lotus Europa Twin Cam - bent replacement, quickly sold :x
6. Ford Cortina SW - Aussie assembled and fell apart
7. Toyota HiLux 4x4 - very comfy and super reliable with off-road mods and long range 150litre tank, downside was thirsty 2litre petrol engine :o
8. Lotus Esprit Turbo - too wide to enjoy driving on UK roads :?
9. Ford Fiesta XR2 - great little roller-skate around town
10. Toyota Celica SX ST162 - Aussie spec GT, great car drove Sydney - Perth, on the way to a GT-Four 8)
11. BMW M3 - power, torque and driveability was a real eye-opener, sadly targetted by Bimmer haters, broken into and eventually stolen
12. Toyota Celica GT-Four ST205 UK - best all-round car ever, performance and roadholding mixed with practicality and comfort :D
13. Lotus Elise S1 TT260 - two seater Formula Ford for the road
14. Toyota Celica GT-Four ST205 JDM - as per UK but without the sunroof, has rally replica looks in Super White :D :D
15. Nissan Patrol 4x4 - best heavy duty off-road 4x4 transmission with Nissan reliability in UN Peacekeeping colours, just need the blue beret

I got the car as a write off as the wheels had been nicked :(
Never could afford new ones and had only collected 3 before I sold it

erghh
Fiesta XR2 or Escort XR3?

I bet the Lotus special was a hoot - 126bhp in a car weighing 710KG (almost teh same specs as a modern day elise!)

The supersport was a lovely little thing - fond memories of my stepfather buying one new and then sticking a BVH, cams and exhaust on it - all good apart from the fuel vaporisation issue that left us stranded many a time after a ragging.

Turning into a bit of a car history this thread, here's mine:

Ford Fiesta 1.4S it was a 1985 which I think makes it a mk2, my first car, it was great apart from popping a conrod through the side of the block and then being written of by a numpty at a roundabout.

Ford Escort Mk5 - this was a shocking car, bought as a stopgap which turned into about 2 years. Ended in an accident which was unfortunately my fault although I wasn't sad to see the back of it.

VW Golf GTI Mk2 8v - My first foray into 'sportier' cars I think back very fondly of this car, fun trips in the summer, I also thought it went like a rocket shop although it had less power than the diesel I have now :)

VW Corrado G60 - Went to Germany to buy this, it was very cheap but being LHD it was a bit of a pain and I was working in South London a lot so I got rid of it, nice handling car though and quite unusual.

VW Golf Mk2 16v - Great car, I owned it for about 3 years then sold it to my other half who ran it for about 3 more, this would probably be the one that got away, it was in a great colour but by then it was rusty and falling to bits, we didn't have the money to sort it out.

Toyota ST185 GT-Four great car but quickly got used to the power paint wasn't that great, was sold after about 18 months as a better job let me move to my ST205.

Toyota ST205 - Brilliant car, owned it 9 years now good enough that I chose to rebuild it rather than replace with something else.

Toyota Corolla 2006 1.4D - Surprisingly good car very economical, had togive it back when I changed jobs.

Westfield Speed Sport 1800 - Great fun but totally impractical, I kept it for about 2.5 years then sold it due to lack of use.

BMW 118D - Excellent car, reasonably good fun to drive, RWD, economical and enough space for 4 adults.

:)

I'm a noob..

Toyota Celica ST182 widebody *sold* - Fell in love with T18X model and bought this as first car in bright 3E5 red. Superclean, but not enough power.
Toyota Celica ST185 Carlos Sainz - Love it to bits. Literally. Current project track day car.
Toyota Starlet EP82 (dd) - Love it, great little multi purpose car and fun to drive to work, as well as on the track. 220,000+ kms and still going strong (replaced the engine after broken valve though, lol).
Toyota Celica AT180 (parts car) *sold* - Needed a non sunroof roof plate for the CS.

Realistic wish list:

Toyota Landcruiser HZJ75 Troopy - On the list for a looong time, road trip beast!
Toyota Yaris T-sport dd (to replace Starlet dd in future) - More modern compared to P8, hope it will be as fun to drive as the Starlet is.
Toyota GT86 (to replace Yaris dd) - distant future dd?

I saw an E-Type Jag 3 days before I flew to Cyprus with the RAF many years ago. £500. How I wish I had bought it.

It was not in great condition, but I could afford it at the time, but time and no place to store it at such short notice :(

Yeah, sold her to fund going to Japan for Uni, probably didn't really have to :(

Wedssport wheels, tokico springs and dampers, HKS dump valve, RX7 intercooler, blitz boost controller, HKS exhaust, Bride drivers seat.

Took 4 of us to TOTB returning over 40mpg and the next owner had her dyno'd at 175hp/170lbft. Bloody brilliant car and at that time, seriously rare!
