well not only does this open pandora's box of oppertunaties, but it also means someone's going to make a mint selling the old broken struts.

Ray
I saw the pic of your car, do you low the suspension a little more?

I would like to know the lowest height for BC kit without compromising the travel of the shock.

Thanks
Renato

Hi yellowchinaman,
any other positive feedback about the BC?
Are they going on well?

Unfortunately Ray - YCM is no more here, but, for your information, this is the clearance between BC and rear tyres (235/40-17):

The clearance will depend on the wheel width and offset!

Yes, obviously...
but the fact is that with a "common" tyre measure like 235/40-17 is, and the maximum allowed ET of 38, the result is to have the tyre SO close to the damper... maybe TOO close... :?

And I was to know this about your wheels because.....................?And where does the "allowed" 38 offset come from?

I think you'll find that there are very many wheel configurations and tyre sizes being used on 205's. Perhaps it would help if it were stated the width and offset when posting clearance points or referencing them to standard wheels for instance!

Ok, then let's say HERE (Italy) with 235 you get an 8" width rim, and et 38 is the minimum allowed (by law) to have the tyre inside the car shape.
I asked to know if someone else had the same low clearance, and if then he experienced damper touching rim with 4mm clearance.

Ok, just got a reply from Bc racing UK people:
4mm are plenty of room, so no problem for them.

They want to sell as much kits as possible so even -29 mm will probably be enough to fit them.. 4 mm is a very small clearance..? :?

Should be ok as long as the tyre has air in it  The tyre will deflect at the bottom under cornering loads but should be pretty stable at the top of he wheel and so 4mm should be fine.

Of course if a wheel bearing gets a bit slack you might find it's not gonna clear any more though!

4mm sounds too close for comfort. I know when I've run that close a clearance on my ST205 the tyre has rubbed against the suspension strut. I would point out that this has only happened when I've cornered 'enthusiastically' on track

I already filed the ring lock, and I gained other 3mm... so 7mm in total to the tyre...

Ok, first "issue" after installation:
rear camber is fixed, and it's -2°35' dx and -2°35' sx...

A bit too high, as I wanted to stay around -1°00' dx & sx...

I imagine I should buy camber bolts:
where could I find good camber bolts for our car ?

Thanks...

IIRC the only camber bolts available for ST185 (which can be used for ST205 rears) are the Whiteline and IMHO don't tick the "good" box from a quality angle.

May be worth looking at the adjustable top mount route. I believe a NZ company Noltec may do some but TBH can't remember off hand :-(
