hi again. after replacing the knock sensor a few weeks ago ive noticed that there are two vacum pipes that are loose as you look through the wheel arch. so ive put the pipes back onto the connector and then the engine is ideling really low and wanting to cut out.
i think the pipes are for the idel control valve but im not 100% sure. and if it is how do i make it idel properly.

The pipes are for the power steering idle up. If disconnected they will give a permanent idle up which I would guess the ecu has 'learnt' and compensated. I would reconnect the pipes and do an ECU reset as a first step.

Agree with Niggles
Pull the EFI fuse in the main engine bay fusebox and let the EFI relearn
Good idea to habe all pipes connected in this lovely hot summer weather, especially low level ones

ha yeah i know what you mean sunny england. i was hoping thats all i needed to do just got to go back underneith and reconnect the hoses now (in this "sunny" weaher)

ha haaa... when my PS hose came off it caused the car to stall when going round a roundabaout!!!
