Guys...I need advise on an exhaust system for my CS.
I'm about to buy an Apexi backbox for my car.
At the moment I have a stock system on the car including cat.
When I fit the backbox to my system I wish to be able to upgrade it in the future with the remaining exhaust sections including a de-cat pipe.

I have emailed Hypersports about their pipes and de-cat pipe but I have since read another thread about their quality so I'm a bit dubious now.

Will I be able to use aftermarket parts to attach my Apexi backbox too? If so can anyone recommend a system, place and advise on fitting to my backbox.
Ideally I'd like to do it all together.......centre section flexi pipe, downpipe and de-cat pipe.

Any advise appreciated.
Thanks

Steve

Steven,

I can't speak for Hypersports exhaust as I do not have one, however the downpipe is ok.

The design isn't brilliant and it is only 2.5inch, but for a starter it is fine.

I am currently running with a Hypersports downpipe, stock flexi and mid section and a trust rear section including back box.

As and when I can afford the time and money for a custom built turbo back system, i will replace what i have, until then it isn't a problem.

As long as you get your diameters right, i don't think it matters too much??

I have since found out that Blue Flame/Mongoose sell the sections seperately.
The de-cat pipe would be my best mod.......plus I have been advised that the stock flexi section is slightly restrictive too...so replacing that might be an option....and then keep the stock mid section if it's good enough condition.
How many sections are there to a complete UK GT4 CS exhaust?
Is it:
Cat pipe, downpipe, flexi, mid section then back box section? I'm losing track...

Downpipe - this replaces the cat
Front section - includes a flexible bit
Mid pipe - normally with a small box towards the rear of the section
Back box - this is the git to get over the rear driveshaft...

Sweet....though as much.

Cheers Kris. It means that the sections being all interchangable will make things easier now. :D
