Was good to meet you the other day Jon.

Just to update, the upgrade has been done keeping the ST185 loom as most of the signals are the same with minor pinout changes between ecu's.
The rev3 MAP sensor has replaced the rev 2 turbo pressure sensor and the correct intake sensors have been added to manifold and intake.
Looks like a reasonably done conversion, but the wires to the intake sensor are a bit short & stretched which I suspect has led to a poor connection in the plug throwing the ECU error codes.
The stored codes were 23,24 & 34 (air box intake, manifold intake & boost cut) we reset the ecu & no codes were showing after a drive.

The clutch bite point was very low which is probably leading to the minor gear selection problems. To adjust the bite point up, you need to adjust up the stop above the clutch pedal to leave it room to go up higher, then you need to adjust the clevis to make the pushrod for the master cylinder a bit longer. Access for both via drivers footwell.
The end result will be more travel in the clutch pedal making the bit point higher off the floor.

Unscrew stop a couple of turns (may have lock nut on top, if so loosen lock nut, turn screw then tighten lock nut again)
Loosen lock nut on clevis, unscrew push rod a couple of turns to lengthen, then do up & tighten lock nut again.

Have adjusted the clutch pedal today and all is good. Gears engage smoothly now including reverse, although I may have raised the pedal and bite point up too much as my knee now hits the steering wheel. I will perfect this when I have the time as felt sick after doing it due to being upside down, and me being 6'2", it is not easy to get under footwell with door shut as was raining!!

The st is good fun because of v6, but it's a horrible ride, badley made and I only bought it while I was fixing my mercedes up because it was cheap. Lots of space though. Ideal for person who has kids or whatever and still needs to itch the speed bug.

Hi Jon, had this exact problem on my car. Turned out to be a fuel pump problem with mine, but then it wasn't a turbo car
