Is it possible you have an injector plug not fully clicked home or having a bad connection. This could also cause 1 cylinder to go weak which may have overheated the lambda.

Compressions are a good sign anyway.

did it ever run on 4 since fitting it?

Check the dizzy cap internals for signs of corrosion on the posts

Now that you've got a spare set of plug leads you can ise one with a spare spark plug to check all 4 leads are actually sparking

It's (just!)possible to listen for the injectors firing with a long screwdriver placed on them

I decided to check the distributor, as i undone the 2 screws i found it diifficult to take the cap of. After a bit of persuasion it came of with melted internals from touching the rotor arm. The rotor arm had worked loose, what a mess!!!

I was very suprised the car managed to work on 3 cylinders and got me home. Just goes to show even though these cars are old by todays standards, it doesn't mean they are bad cars.

Today i have orderd the new parts, hopefully it will now work on all 4 cylinders!

Ps if anyone has a spare EFI water sensor please get in touch!

Thanks for all your help guys!!!

Well done m8. Have seen a couple of 3sgte's munch the dizzy now. The other one was due to the screw working loose holding the rotor arm on.

Rotor screws have now been loctighted they shouldn't come out now!!

The rotor screw was embedded in the distribotor cap. These Celica's are very well built even with the rotor mashed i still managed to get home!
