I have changed engine and box and all seems well except that my speedo reads wrong! You have to be doing a reasonable speed before it registers anything and when it does read it is low. My first thought was to change the speed sensor so I did but to no avail :(

Anyone got any ideas?

This is for a 185?

Aren't all the 185's mechincal drive?

The 205 has both a mechincal drive or electrical drive, dependant upon where in the world it came from...

I think this is for Si's 205.

I have a spare 205 JDM speedo cluster with the mph convertor thingy on the back - works perfectly.
Any use?

Hi Guys, yes it's for my JDM 205! Nige, that might be very useful if I can't find my spare that I've put somewhere  I'll let you know if I can't find mine!

I just hope it's not the g/box. Ive already had to change the rear output shaft and housing after installing it 'cause it was cracked and my brand new gear oil was trying to escape. Now this and I HATE taking these in and out. If I can't fix it I don't care and I'll just use the satnav. Silly thing is my old box is perfect just higher mileage and I only changed it as this one has 20-30,000 less miles on it! :x

I am hoping that the speed delimiter or some other easy to fix part has expired while parked for the last year
