First of all, many thanks for the membership pack.
The postlady completely ruined the folder and bent it to smithereens.
Thanks for the ice scraper and sticker too.
I'll be looking out for other GT4's that I can leave a card with. 8)

I assume this sticker will sit on the inside of a window? Just wanted to confirm before I ruin it.

regards

Steve

The way mine is done it looks like it sticks to the outside of the windows, you peel the clear covering off & the logo & text stick to the clear covering, then place it where you want, bit of pressure applied to the clear covering & peel the clear covering off... Or am I wrong here again??

Just wanted to add that my membership pack arrived spot on the 1st April so well done guys :D Ta for the letter & goodies, very professional! As to the sticker - peel off the transparent top, put it INSIDE the car on the glass wherever you want it, then rub down firmly and remove the backing as far as I can tell. At least thats how it looks it should work :?:

Cheers,
Mark

Normally the side that sticks to the white backing paper is the side for sticking, the clear slice is a low tac slice just for handling & application.

The way I was told it normally works is that if you can read it I.E the logo & writing is the correct way round to read, it sticks on the outside, if you cant read it I.E the logo & writing are the wrong way round (Mirrored) then it sticks to the inside.

Also if you look carefully at the sticker you can see that the flag is made of 2 layers, 1st layer for the black with the white checkers then stuck onto the black flags as the 2nd layer, if you stick this to the inside of the glass you might get air bubbles or a none uniformed fit when fitting that you cant move or bubbles that are formed over time due to the step up to the second layer.

Anyhow if it fits both ways who cares & if it does look naff after a year we will get a new one next year to replace it with… job done :D :D

Just had another look too.
If the top transparent layer is peeled back then you can feel that the lettering is not sticky on top....only the underside which must mean it's an outside sticker only.

Joke:
How many GT4DC'ers does it take to fit a GT4DC sticker?

We'll know later...

I'm a little worried that the British weather may have a nasty effect on it. :(
Won't be able to used the GT4DC ice scraper on the window it's on through fear of peeling it off.

The current sticker despatched with the membership packs is indeed an external sticker. We may look into the internal style stickers at a later date depending on teh feedback from you guys. IIRC we also have URL style stickers (some of you may have seen these on the staff cars at Brooklands?) These will be available to purchase soon.

Should be fine, it's the same style stickers/poly plastic they use for car graphix.

Aye, it's an external graphic, best placed on the body work of the car somewhere as the black part will be difficult to see if placed on a window.

With graphic facing up, give it a good rub over with the back of your fingernail to firmly attatch it to the application tape. Then, flip it over and peel the backing paper off (it's always easier peeling the paper off the graphic as opposed to the graphic off the paper). Then place it on the car where you want it, press firmly when happy of the position, and gently peel off the clear application tape. Job's a goodun ;)

Steven,

My 205 is storm blue and I have the same concerns. It is for this reason I have decided to put my club sticker on the passenger side of the windscreen (when it is clean enough for it to stick!)

I appreciate that the text isn't going to be highly visable, however I am happy that the logo should draw enough attention for people to want to investigate further ;)
