Looking at buying some Kumho Ecsta LE Sports for the ST205... has anyone any experience of these? They seem to get good all round reviews, and can handle a bit of abuse. I will be doing a bit of Hillclimbing in them, and plenty B-road blastage.

I am running ku39's on my m3 at present and have been for about 5k miles.

I originally ran oem, continental then Michelin pilot sport then ps2 and some cheap falkens and Avon zz3.

Whilst the car is quite different I would rate the ku39 better than most but not as good as the Michelin pilot sport for outright grip. Pretty good and around a third of the price so I will probably stick with the ku39 unless they suddenly start wearing really fast!

Just changed to Michelin Pilot Sports on my ST205 and although I haven't done a lot of mileage on them they seem a lot more grippy and quieter than the Toyo T1R's I had on before. Last time I had Pilot Sports was years ago on my M3 and they were very good. Came in at £90 per tyre fitted which seemed like a good deal to me :)

I am running BF Goodrich G-Grip on my black 205 and found them to be more than capable, only bought them because 16" Goodyear Eagle F1 Asymmetric 2 were not available at the time.

I guess it is horses for courses?

I have had a few scary moments with budget tyres not wanting to stop the car :(

Sliding onto a roundabout is a not a lot of fun :(

I didn't realise you could get the G-grip in the sizes for GT4's. I'm running them on the Clio and they are excellent.

I got mine from Bathwick tyres, 225/55/16 and good as gold :D
Dan thinks they are great as well, and as you know, his driving style is a bit more "interesting" than mine :D

On the clio they're head & shoulders better than anything else I've tried including goodyear & pirelli - they're not exactly the high performance models though so not really a fair comparison. Stunning grip in dry, wet and muddy lanes.
