Well it's RWD, not 4WD, and the power is definitely down on the previous Toyota rally cars ('Fours and Corolla), but yes, looks like this could be the new face of Toyota rallying to some extent at least It'll be interesting to se how this pans out and needless to say it's also great to see Toyota coming back into rallying again with a current production model car, albeit in this roundabout way. Guess we have to wait and see how things go, but it looks like something worth keeping an eye on at least

The GT86 is going to be a customer car, the yaris will be the wrc car, the 4wd gt86 that ran as vip on rally finland is a publicity ploy to get hype on there return, I am flying out to TMG on Wednesday for a business meeting and taking a prototype part over for the R3 gt86 will give you more info on my return on Friday.
