OK, it's not a GT-Four but I thought I'd share these pics of a restoration project recently completed by one of my friends who lives just south of Perth, Western Australia. He runs historic and contemporary Formula Ford 1600 single seat racecars so is no stranger to fixing damaged and worn-out cars!

The first two pics show the car as it was when I visited in May last year and the finished car finally rolled out in January. The work is top notch and he has rust proofed the chassis even although the climate in WA is somewhat kinder than here in the UK.

Looks like a top quality job. :)

The ones I've seen on autotests / solos are remarkably quick and very agile. I'd hazard a guess they're very light.

Certainly a car I'd happily own given enough money & storage space.

Very nice job, although I am more a fan of the non frog-eye midget.

The first car I restored was an old midget and they are indeed light but also bloody small, even at 14 I struggled to fit in properly but it was a good hoot with a mildly tuned 1275 engine. With a K-series it would be a real giggle.
