Hi guys, i'm looking in to taking my 1996 Celica GT4 Jap Spec back to the states. As of right now it's not on the "list" that the DOT(department of transportation) approves to be street legal. I talked with them and they said i would have to provide crash test data to see if it was up to standard for them. Does anyone know where i can find this sort of thing, i mean they had to of crash tested this stuff back in 1996. Any help would be greatly appreciated as i've already searched the internet and can't find a thing! thanks

I don't want to say its impossible but I have heard that it is very very hard to import an ST205 legally into the US.

Some states might be easier than others, a good place to ask would be the US counterpart to our site:

Agree with Mike. If it was easy then I suspect many would have done it already.

I may be incorrect here (it has been known!) but I suspect the USA will require crash test data to the USA standard or regulation. If teh vehicle wasn;t sold in the USA therefore I assume it wouldn't have been tested to that standard
