Nice pics Andy. There are so many GT4-ex MR2 owners about.....
Is it just natural progression?

Looking nice Andy, as was the old MR2, was that a standard colour for them?

Hutch > Sonic is looking nice there mate :)

Regarding my wheels, they're 18x7.5 with offset ET35. The rear has 25mm H&R hubcentric spacers. Tyres are 215/40/18 Yoko Paradas. The suspension has been dropped 35mm at the rear with Eibach springs. My original drop was 20m mand the arches were well clear of my old Comp MO 17x8, but they caught ever so slightly once the Eibachs went on. I had them rolled then, but these wheels are about 10mm further in than the old ones, so these would probably not catch a standard arch on 35mm drop.

Cheers stevenb and mook! :-)

Mr2 to GT4 was not my intended route to be honest! I looked for a mr2 turbo for a while but just kept finding total dogs!

went to my local importers mercury motors to see if they could drag over a half decent tubby and gt4 was parked up fresh of the boat!

I looked around it lifted the bonnet and just thought yep thats for me!

stuck deposit down and went off to do research! found it was WRC and that the lower arms were still fine! :-)

got them to do a timing belt change and change the clutch and repair a dent in back bumper (Boat scar) and paid £7250 (250 for the clutch)

Mook : It was a standard colour on the 2 but there just aint many about! it's called moonstone silver or something???? It was the only colour to have really!

Most 2's in that colour have all gone white on the plastic, bumpers, spoiler, air intakes, but mine was pretty good! shame it was an auto really! and an N/A

it was a great car but the 4 just has something extra that I cant put my finger on! ???? prob the fact I can drive it in the wet without drifting everywhere lol oh and a turbo of course :-)

cheers though fellas!

Because you like to hit [Enter] I guess :D

@ Mook; thanks for the info.. I'm still wondering wheter to go for 17" or 18" for my next wheels.. Did you order them from Rays directly to get +35, afaik they only supply 18x7.5 in +40?

Meurz > From Inovit, they're not Rays I'm afraid. The ET35 was a standard fitment, but it appeared only to be so in the silver, which wasn't really a problem for me. I didn't want to go ET40 as it would have been too far into the arches, they're just about okay as they are.

I bought them from Replikit, but they didn't come with any spigots or nuts, I believe there is a place on the net that does them with those parts included, which is just as well as it cost me £60 to get the extras! What with the tyres it worked out to around £850, so still not cheap :(

Just adding another couple to the fray, have amended the exterior slightly with a change in a few of the graphics and a redoing of the front end - bumper and mirrors have been resprayed and I've ditched the foglights. Also amended the Silkolene graphics on the splitters and put a slightly thinner plate on. Finally fitted some of the bling in the engine bay too, just awaiting the return of my head before the last of it goes in :)
