Could do. I haven't spoken to Lewis yet as my phone's been out for signal at the office for the last 2 weeks so I need to go for a drive to phone anyone.

There may be a few people from Dorset on the OC as well, will post up on there and see if anyone wants to meet.

Obviously the main target is to meet at Bridgewater services at 11am, but I am also meeting people coming from Bristol/further north/south Wales/M4 direction at the Gordano services on the M5, just west of Bristol. I'll be there for about 10am if anyone else wants to cruise down the M5 with us :)

If we're meeting up, I'd suggest meeting at Dorchester then going Yeovil - Taunton - up the M5.

I would otherwise go back roads Shaftesbury - Gillingham - A303 - Langport - etc. Shorter & slightly quicker but not much in it.

I'm up for meeting dorch, then heading onto yeovil, m5 etc. Back roads are fun, but if u get slow coach or lorry we'll be stuck for ever so probably best to head to taunton jct on m5 as plenty of passing points.

If people are up for this then shall I suggest tesco main carpark dorchester 8am? Would this give us enough time?

You don't get stuck behind stuff for long on my back routes, otherwise I wouldn't use them. My normal route is about 1/2hr quicker than the main road during daytime, about the same at night. Yeovil is the best one if we're meeting up though.

Back on topic, I've got to drop some stuff off at Watchet on the way through. Is there a planned break somewhere I can catch up, or shall I go on ahead ? Is anywhere planned for lunch ?

I was planning for us to park up and have lunch in Lynmouth at about 1:30.

We will be going by watchet on the way, so I'm sure that if you perl off on route we could find somewhere suitably scenic on the edge of the moors not long after mine head for you to catch up? Not sure where exactly but we can stop somewhere scenic and fairly obvious?

Or you could leave Bridgewater 15 minutes before the rest of us, drop off your stuff an them wait on the road for us to go by you?

If you want to be at Lynmouth by 1-30 it's probably better for me to go on ahead as I doubt you'll get away at 11, and you won't make up time on that road, especially on a Sunday.

Suggested times for the Dorset convoy - Wimborne 9ish, Dorchester 9-30 ish, Yeovil 10 ish. I won't have time to hang about if I'm going on ahead from Bridgewater.

By Bridgewater servics, do you mean the junction just South of Bridgewater ? ( ta6 6ts )

Or do you mean Sedgemoor servics just North ? BS24 0JL . If the latter, there's Northbound & Southbound and I'm not aware of a way across without driving miles in the wrong direction.

Not sedgemoor the other one, can't remember what junction number it is but it's the one where you have to pull off the motorway onto a roundabout. It's accessible from both north and south.
