Just an early warning, it appears that speedometers are starting to suffer similar problems with electrolytic capacitors as the ecu. I've now heard of 2 on gen 5's. It manifests as the speedo starting to under-read, so worth keeping a cross check against sat-nav to avoid speeding fines. I haven't seen one myself yet to confirm, apparently it uses unpolarised electrolytics which are quite rare. Worth considering a ceramic instead depending on value. |
