Why is there only one vibration damper on the drivers side front driveshaft? Is there not one on the other side....or has it fallen off?

Mine only has one also.

The only reason I can think of is that only one was needed?

Just happens to be on the same side as the crank shaft damper pulley (harmonic balancer)??

£67 +VAT from the dealers.

This project is going to be expensive.

I'm guessing the passenger side one doesn't have a resonance within the expected speed range for the car.

Do any other vehicles have these sort of dampers on the driveshafts. e.g. Evo, Impreza?

Not sure about Evos or imprezas, but some Peugeots do, Civics do. Etc

It looks like Evos or Imprezas do not have them!
