Whip the starter off to allow access to the clutch cover bolts and check all 6 (I think) are tight. Adjust clutch pedal to give more travel (as above) If all else fails, it's a broken clutch plate, either cracked friction material or a spring come out. |

no lol been rebuilding it as a project which was running but had a few walls to climb lol but learning and once complete will be nice |

Other thing on the 185, the pedal box is prone to cracking / braking and once broken pressing the clutch tends to bend the remaining pedal box rather than pushing the master cylinder pushrod. Easy signs to spot- 1- Clutch pedal sits fairly low compared to brake pedal when released. 2- Pull the pedal upwards fairly hard with your hand. If it comes up more than a few mm then this is probably the problem. |

ok did look earlyer and it seemed the same height as the brake but will double check |
