Think this is located in the compressor...

i'm getting a ticking sound when car is idling, could it be the compressor clutch?

Probably not, this is most likely the vent system for the fuel tank... blip the throttle and the "tick tick tick" will disappear :)

The clutch went bad on my old 185 engine - sounded like a noisy bearing.

The clutch is actually built into the pulley. You'll notice the centre of the pulley stays still while the engine turns (unless aircon is on of course).

I got a noise like that from my A/C magnetic clutch bearing when I overtightened the drive belt. This eventually knackered the bearing. At least you can buy the clutch assembly separate from the compressor which saves a bit of dosh.
