It's hard to tell for sure in the early stages. Squeaks and knocks are first signs of Fig 8 but they are also signs of other components wearing too.
Start off by jacking the car and removing the wheel. Grab the spring and twist it. Look for signs of movement anywhere
then try to twist it by twisting the brake caliper. If nothing's moving have a poke about with a pry bar
While you're there check for play in the ARB bushes and give them a bit of a grease - they're another common cause of squeaks and clunks
