Spent the weekend at Goodwood again, the event gets better and better every year, but also busier and busier, almost to the extent where there are too many people.

Some fantastic car racing as usual but the highlight of the weekend for me was this

You don't see canberras flying about much any more.

Also in the evening as we jived the night away a Spitfire and Mustang spend a good half an hour doing aerobatics in the sunset which was awesome, very close formation like they were tied together with a short bit of rope. Brilliant to see and to hear, especially accompanied with a bit of rockabilly and the smell of old racing cars burning 4 star petrol :)

This was last year but gives youan idea

The scream the Mustang makes is awesome, sends a shiver down my spine every time I hear it.

Wll be going again next year for the fourth year in a row. Can't wait.

If you have never been to the Goodwood Revival then you should go its amazing......and don't forget to get dressed up :)

I was there today - next year we should arrange a DC minimeet!

TrackToyFour is a regular attendee as well. :)

That sounds like a good idea, especially as it would be easier to "set up camp" somewhere with chairs Etc as there is a distinct lack of seating at Goodwood. The evening session was the best though and most folk have gone home it's a lot quieter, some great music on the evening too.

Sunset?......I must have missed that! It was more like Stygian gloomy grey skies on Friday and mini-monsoon Sunday late afternoon :( Didn't manage to go Saturday as they'd sold out of tickets. Canberra display was the highlight for me on Friday and the two Junkers 52's on Sunday :D

It appears that the track was a tad slippery slidey

PS. If you have speakers/headphones turn it up. Then the seat gets slidey too

Adrian must have watched that from behind the sofa - or the bar

I did think this comment was rather appropriate:

Quote:
He's not so much steering it as issuing a series of strongly worded suggestions - most of which the car is completely ignoring...

Reminds me of playing round in the wet on slicks on a kart, but without the turn-in understeer.
