Concorde used to flyover my house when it took off from Heathrow. Always rushed out to look if it was a clear day as it looked and sounded terrific with the four Olympus engines crackling away on afterburner :D

As far as I know XH558 will keep flying as long as there are funds and the guys are just doing the finishes touches to a full re-spray as we speak.
I was very lucky to have seen the last display and flight of 558 while it still belonged to the RAF and we all believed that was it so was very pleased to find that it was being restored back to flying order and I was lucky enough to have it visit my old work before I left the RAF.
From 89 to 93 I worked on the old Victors too, all the ones that are now in museums in the hemp colour i’ve been lucky enough to work on and for me to see one of these flying again would be just superb. Dorris

Its forcasted to be at Manston for the Kent airshow later this year but I know its missed date in the past due to technical issues so will just have to wait and see. Dorris
