I understood full membership was now free and requested it with the relevant form some time ago ...

Everytime I login and click 'view posts since last visit' there are generally none displayed and yet there are clearly new posts on the days that I visit ...

No idea Martin, it's certainally not intentional or personal

I sometimes get a dud cookie (I think) on the phone browser which results in similar behaviour

The most obvious symptom is n the forum header links where instead of "Logout [two_OH_five]" I see "Log OUT []"
clicking logout and then logging in again fixes this

Otherwise try just deleting the gt4dc.co.uk cookie if you haven't already

I'll try and see in I can check the DB tonight in case there's a forked last login date with your name

I get the same think sometimes. Normally on the phone.

This also always happens on my iPhone but not on my main PC.

Agree with the dud cookie diagnosis... has happened to me a few times.

Log out, clear cookies, clear forms, passwords, hisotry etc, then log in and it should work :)

i has issues with persistant cookies on another computer. When I logged out of the netbook, I could see new posts on the desktop, so the desktop has auto login selected and other computers are ad hoc logins.

Thanks for the tips - it's only relevant cause I tend to use that link rather than scour the separate forum sections ...

The forum would benefit from an active topics function ;)

Sadly it's not a feature of our PHPBB version Gary

I'm reluctant to poke the hampster that powers this place too much as he's already looking a bit grumpy

Or an option which many forums have is to be able to edit the date and time positioner which is typically displayed so that you can control the new posts from a point in time ...

On this site I can't even see the date and time positioner to know where it is searching from ...

Ah now then I just checked ...

On the Index screen it shows the date and time of last visit. I am wondering then if you click the 'View posts since last visit' link from this page whether it uses this last visit time-stamp which will clearly be 'NOW' or a few seconds ago ...

Any comments on this ?

Martin
