It runs! I'll say that again, IT RUNS!!! :D

After a year of gloomy partition anxiety my car has been reunited with a working engine (for a while anyway  )

IT RUNS :D

MOT next week and on the road 1st September if all goes well!

Happy days  :D

That's excellent news Si.
Fingers crossed for the MOT but I'm sure it'll be fine.
Should be ready for Rally Day, Castle Coombe in September.

Good news. I need to get mine running ASAP as the clutch finally gave up on the pug today. Needed 2nd gear to get up the hills on the A30 !!

I know that feeling  Got my boost solenoid back on the 185 and boy does it feel quick, even on a safe 95RON map.

And now it has an MOT too!

Passed the emissions tests with ease, no cat and running a HKS FconV on standard settings :D

It failed initially last week due to a rear tyre being on the wrong way (the garage was due to fit my 4 new tyres to my temporarily fitted wheels but my rims are too deep for their machine  ) and the rear fog light didn't work just like every other year!

Sounds like your tester has got fussy

Rear fog lights should be banned rather than being compulsory. I wonder how many accidents have been caused by people failing to notice brake lights come on due to the already blinding red glare, or being unable to see what's going on ahead.

Hopefully my 205 should be back on the road this week. Had it running last night for a few seconds (no exhaust, CC or rad yet) and it sounds smooth & clutch works OK.

Good to here yours is going to be roadworthy again soon. Mine has developed rattles and squeaks from being parked for a year but is running well so far. I have a bit still to put back together and sort but nothing serious.

I think the LPG conversion is probably next months GT4 project :D
