Has anyone come across this before and what did you have to do to stop it
the turbo builds say trim back the blades fensport says its turbo problem but i find it hard to believe it dont do it whenflooring the car only on paert throatle could do with some advice here if pos, just cost just over a grand to have it back on the road and now its seems its going to take anoougher monkey to cut back on what i have

are you running a straight intake?

Whose turbo is it? What specification is the turbo? (ideally need the trim of the compressor wheel and any "hybrid mods").

As steve says - do you have a straight air intake and a low pressure drop filter?

Do you know who built the hybrid turbo? A hybrid can have different work done on it such as a different turbine wheel, compresser wheel, wastegate porting, twin entry porting. Stage 3 can mean different things depending on who built the turbo. e.g. Owen Developments Stage 3 Hybrid CT20b/CT26 would be different from a Turbo Dynamics Stage 3 Hybrid CT20b/CT26

HKS turbos often have an anti-surge compressor intake design and you can modify a Garrett in the same way. I'm not sure I've ever seen a Toyota compressor housing being modified in this way. It may well be that there is insufficient 'meat' in the casting to allow this. In other words your options in this area may be limited if your hybrid is based on the Toyota casting.
