Things might be quiet from me for a little while as i fly out to the Falklands today for four months. I will occasionally be looking in to see what you are all up to. Hopefully will catch up with you all when i get back. Take care all, Dorris

Guess what? I’m back already  Has to be the fastest Falklands tour ever! 20 mins at the Brize Norton terminal!
As usual our professional RAF has messed up again and a few of us got bumped off the flight. They had to reduce the weight of the plane due to a technical issue at the Ascension Island, ie they have dug up half the runway. I now fly out Tuesday 1st July.
You civilians are so lucky you don’t have to fly Catletruck Airways when you go away for business or holidays
Have fun all, Dorris

Hi everyone i finally got here and it hasnt changed one bit in the 11 years since i was down here last, its still the icy cold wind swept lump of rock it always has and will be. Apart form the gocart track and Landrovers limited to 40 mph not alot else with wheels on down here. The snow and ice has been keeping me busy with a couple 24 hr shifts but at least the sleep and food is good, not sure if im going to loose this spare tyre of mine. Anyway hope all is well back in Blitey im off to the pool for a splash, take care everyone, Dorris

Thanks everyone can’t believe it’s been 4 months, first 2 months was lots of snow, ice and gales and the second 2 months bright blue skies, sun and more gales. State of affairs at the moment is the CS is off the road and in dyer need of some mega TLC so I’ve got the use of a KA to get me about which to be fair isn’t a bad thing as everything in the Falklands was limited to 40mph not that there is anywhere to go lol. Dorris
