Hi im new to the forum and have recently purchased a blitz spec s boost controller. for some reason its over boosting. does anyone have any idea as to why this is? pics would be very helpful thanks. it seems to do it when i gear down and push on the accelerator or when im cruising in any gear and put my foot down. i have the gain set down on 3 and 5 percent boost. Many thanks

A bit more information would be helpful. When you say you are overboosting what boost figures are you seeing? I used to run a Blitz DSBC Spec R and found the instructions on this link very helpful http://www.rtec.ch/dsbc_manual.html
I can't recall exactly what gain and volume I ran but the 3 and 5 you mention do seem pretty low. If you have replaced the cat with a free flowing downpipe then this will make a big difference and it will make it easier to overboost, particularly if you give the throttle lots of welly!

Hi,

you just have gain to adjust on the BC? or is there also a set?

3-5 is very low which means nearly no boost controll, makes me think of a air leak anywhere to the acutator of the turbo or possible wrong lines on the boost selenoid (there is a in and out port!)
do you closed the line to the oem boost selenoid aka VSV?

for reference the gain i ave set ( for overall boost response or whatever on the blitz manual it recommends 5.. for the gain for each individual setting i ran 56 on setting 3 and 60 on setting 4 and these acheive around 1.1 - 1.2 bar

There is a guide on how to setup the Blitz DSBC there...

I too have seen/set a very low gain on to achieve a decent boost level and system response...
