| Post subject: | SARD 800 Injectors - What Supporting Mods? |
Is it possible to install SARD 800 injectors into a standard 205 fuel rail? Are there any supporting mods required? I'm thinking more injector harnesses/electrical. I guess an uprated Fuel Pump, FPR and standalone ECU to control would be useful. Any info. greatly appreciated. Thanks. |

It's plug and play from an injector perspective but you will certainly need an ECU I'd recommend getting a new set of seals (they are listed in the part number post). They're not too much money but well worth it to avoid fuel pouring over a hot engine incidents I think JP and I had the swap down to about an hour using thw Williams wiggle method

Nigel, 1) Check the part nos sticky - I listed the part nos and maybe the costs of the injector seals. 2) I may have a used set for sale. (if robbie carries on avoiding me  )
3) The williams wiggle was a case of "give the laziest person the most difficult task and he will come up with the most efficient way to do it" |

Oh and what steve said - you can't run 800cc injectors on std ECU (well you can but it will overfuel by erghh about 35% at all times and kill yoru engine) You need to get the low impedance, 800cc side feed injectors for them to be plug & play. IIRC Sard also do another model that is close specs but high impedance. (don't buy these!) |

Very tempted but really have other priorities at the moment. e.g. Gearbox swap booked in for next week. Rear control arms gone for powder coating. Hopefully (time permitting)Edge Performance are kindly going fit with Poly bush kit. C-ONE rear diff mount to fit. CUSCO under-brace to fit. TEIN coilovers to fit and get setup. All before the next round at FW

This is going to be rebuilt with the C-ONE gear set (gears 1 to 5). The head is back after having the valves reseated. Any decent tyre repair centre equipped with laser alignment can do the fornt and rear toe-in. I guess if you've fitted adjustable top mounts you'll want to check the camber. Also, if you have adjustable spring platforms you could check and adjust the corner weights. Having said that, tyre centres don't normally do this detail. JEMS can set up suspension but then of course being in Daventry they're not exactly local. I got the Elise done by Pilbeam but they're even further away in Bourne, Lincolnshire. A more practical alternative may be for me to check with my camber gauge then get the toe set by a local tyre centre with laser gear. |
