HI, thought i would tote for business, invested in hydraulic swager, die sets cover from 1/4" TO 1". uk made top quality bit of kit..

so the next time you need some lines made for an oil cooler install and don't want to go the expense of using earl, goodridge etc, think lightweight swaged fittings

I can do any kind of oil hose.

Like this clutch line.

sweat.. , my hydraulic swager don't go down that small, from 1/4" to 1" bore.

brake line use the reusable stainless fittings.

DJ - I've not had much luck with the reuseable fittings - if the ones with the compression olive inside are the ones your talking about.

I had 2 brake lines fail of this type - eventually gave up and went back to stock lines. I think a swaged brake line would be much better.

Can you get smaller die set?

had none fail even when front wheel,hub and lower arm was smashed off under 100 mph off into tyre barrier only thing attached was the brake line.. will post a picture...

problem on ST205's is the lines need to flex for steering rotation , if install has been done without using extra length and the correct route with half loop and supporting bracket they fail on the hose to fitting section on caliper.., its worth using heavy duty shrink wrap to inprove the weak point of hose to fitting..

even using swaged type they fail at the area of hose to fitting have seen a few with issues. will post another picture.

you can't beat the swaged setup and yes will buy another die set for brake lines shortly. each die set is £115.oo inc having just inevsted in 2 sets sofar, new pump and line its adding up , still cheaper than the 1500 notes for a new unit.
