Nasty!. I guess the badly worn clutch could be the sign that the engine was ragged to within an inch of its life and hence the knackered pistons/rings/bores? |

HIya don It was a bit of a strange one this as the lad had never had a chance to enjoy it as it never really ran right, I didnt ask too many questions tbh I just cracked on with getting it sorted, in reality it looked like someone had poured a load of soil in there, pistone rings were all present but ring gaps were very large and there was no tension on them to the extreme were the pistons near dropped out once disconnected from the crank Martin |

I've just been reminded about this linered build. How did it go ? Was it successful ? is it still running ? I'm curious as I've not yet heard about a successful linered build on one of these engines. All the ones I've encountered either fail, or the poster goes very quiet. |
