I've heard good reports of the helix full face organic.
I would be wary of running a different pressure plate unless you've measured plate thickness and pressure for both types to check they're compatible. I once ran a competition pressure plate with standard friction plate (the shop sold it as a 'competition clutch' package) and the friction material split in half within a week due to too much pressure.
Sounds like you had a mis-match of specifications?
A Helix 6 puck plate would suit your Clutchmasters housing?
They are circa £200.
I had an FX300
and hated it,
it wouldn't disengage drive til warm,
this was at less than a year old.
Actually bought a worn Helix clutch
and popped a new plate in together with new release bearing.
You can re-pad a 4-6 puck Helix for circa £70.
Have had 3 Helix units without issue up to 50,000 miles.
