i only miss the straight SS-arm with the joint like a 8, becouse i can apply the suspension too much and then i need a track set, we made this only thumb x pi
but works good without any vibration only the steering is not ok

Hi,

project "breathing tank" is harder then i thought, i found only one position where i can fit the tank, and this is on the OEM strutbrace next to the intercooler swirlpot, this means that i need very long lines and is not a good solution.....as two of my opinions are "less is more" and "the uncomplicated way is the best way"
but i can't stop the develoment becouse i ordered 6m earl's hoses for this project (people who use earls parts know what i mean)

what do you think about?

I presume the 'breather tank' is an engine cooling system header tank? If so, have you worked out how the water expansion will flow into the tank and how it will drain back into the main system when it cools?

Hi,

sorry, yes is speak about a header tank

here a sketch how it works
Image

air collects in the radiator neck and flow up to the header tank, and water flow back to the cooling system, the line from the breathing tank to the reservoir compensate the water level like the OEM sytem

Hi,

thanks God, i got my new (old) wheels on the car, the last damage is repaired

Image

i also mounted the SARD breathing tank on weekend, this was the only position i found

(TTE style mounted  )
Image

i hope that i get the lines i'am waiting for until weekend to finish the work

and now there are only two bigger mods i plan and some smaller before i build the engine, or let'em build

1. carbon propshaft
2. Sparco Milano's (the OEM seats are terrible to my back)

That's not a bad temp if you are using good oil

On track I back off when temps exceed 120C. The Silkolene oil I use is rated to higher than this

FYI
My Engine Oil Cooler and thermostatic oil filter plate are now fitted.

Oil temps - maximum @75/80 deg C
Water temps - maximum @80 deg C.
Very pleased with these figures. :D - some 20 deg C lower than previously.
These have been seen on my gauges while travelling to and from work.
This includes local traffic and some motorway driving.

I will be out on track next weekend so it will be interesting to see what temps I'm getting then.

Hi,

there is no problem with the oil, i often saw 120°C and + themp's last year, before i changed to a pipe

Muddy Water, i'am also interested

OK, here are the readings that I took from my sprint series round.
Oil temps - maximum @90-95 deg C
Water temps - maximum @95-100 deg C.
I have to say that I'm very pleased with these figures. :D

Hi,

that's very good, what radiator core was it?

my new peak oil themp is 111°C after some hill-climbs
last year: 120°C and more
