I have also removed the vanes on the standard pump and running a Davies Craig electronic water pump.

Did you choose the Aluminum 115l/min one?

Davies Craig EWP115 Water Pump (not the alloy one)

Don't know about the Bosch but what would make a difference would be fitting a swirl pot in the water hose between the head and the rad. This will de-aerate the coolant and improve the efficiency of the cooling system in general. Trouble is finding the space and height!

There have been some questions recently regarding what size of throttle body plate is required to pruduced. The table below has been extracted from A. Graham Bell's book Forced Induction Performance Tuning - A Practical Guide to Supercharging and Turbocharging

No no no... don't read his books... as someone wrote some weeks ago in this forum, they are just "fairy stories for old ladies"

Sorry Don...

Maybe so but until someone actually tries it and publishes results or provides another source for info it is the only info source readily known and available.

I would be interested in your views on this Wolf. Whilst the above info IMHO seems a little pessimistic (60mm St205 TB can work on higher BHP vehicles than 390bhp, it is also my thoughts that (having worked out the pressure drop through IC pipework) the figures are a good guide when the TB will start to become a restriction.

check out LMP (for example) to see how wrong those numbers are
Unless they're in mm2 and it's a typo

I also disagree with the out of context implication this is all you need. IMO NA == supercharged == turb. With supercharging in either form you've got enough issues without making the turbo blow through a peashooter

JP,
I totally agree with you...
and I'm really sorry and angry I was not able to explain myself in English.... DAMN!
I was joking, as I really care about REAL tuners and enginners books...
so I was just teasing someone else's words written in another thread...

source :- Ulrick Baretzky on the 2010 Audi R15 TDI, RET magazine (apologies, I've probably got his name horribly butchered)

600+ bhp on 2 x 37.9mm restrictors per ACO regulations
That equates to about 2260mm2, significantly less than the 2460mm2 of a 56mm throttlebody

But as I said peashooters and turbos are not an ideal combo

Just a note to advise I've deleted the subsequent posts as they were not, in my view, contributing substantively to this thread which is designed for the publishing of technical information on my track toy project. No offence intended guys!
